All Assisted Living Facilities are Regulated by the State and must provide help with Activities of Daily Living for their Residents.
On its most Basic Level this means;
Assistance with Medications, Bathing, Toileting, Transferring, Cleaning, Laundry, and an Activity Schedule.
They must also provide 3 meals a day, and snacks.
There are a lot of homes I've viewed that don't provide the most important basic need of seniors...Personal Interaction. The Residents in my home are my friends. I'll take Bill out to Fry's Electronics, Costco, or just to out to run errands if he's feeling a little cooped up. I recently took Bill and Mayo out for blood work at Kaiser, afterwords they talked me into getting cheese burgers at "Joes Cafe" at Madison and Dewey. Joseph Gsell, Owner.
